9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. The Richard M. Keane Foundation Family Picnic will be held on Sunday, September 13, 2015, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Wethersfield’s Broad Street Green.
Come early and stay late! Everyone is asked to bring their own blanket, or to set up ‘fancy’ tables and chairs, and bring a picnic supper to enjoy with family and friends.
The picnic is held each year to remember those Wethersfield residents murdered in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, and to thank the volunteers and supporters of the Keane Foundation.
There will be no rain date.
Richard M. Keane was killed in the September 11th terrorist attacks while attending a business meeting at Marsh McLennan in Tower 1 of the World Trade Center.
