9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Remembering 9/11 – Lower Manhattan

September 11, 2014 @ 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Manhattan Youth Downtown Community Center will host a free concert and remembrance event for the lower Manhattan community on Thursday, September 11, 2014 beginning at 7:00pm. Share your memories, listen to music from the Tribeca Chamber Players and enjoy refreshments by Chef David Bouley.

This year’s schedule is –7:00pm: music from the Tribeca Chamber Players, including the Adagio for Strings by Samuel Barber;

7:30pm: a chance to meet and converse with your neighbors, remember those lost in the terrorist attacks;

8:15pm: more music – including the andante movement from Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 21.

After the gathering, some attendees will visit the 9/11 Memorial Plaza, which will be open to the public until midnight for a special viewing of the Tribute in Light. All are welcome to join them.

Admission is free – everyone is invited. A $10.00 donation to the 9/11 Memorial is suggested.
