Welles Crowther, who played lacrosse for BC, will be honored during the Red Bandanna Game. Members of his family will attend. He is better known as 9/11’s “Man in the Red Bandanna” because he wore his trademark red bandanna over his face while saving at least 12 lives in the South Tower during the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. He also wore the red bandanna while playing for BC.
For the second time, the Eagles will wear Red Bandanna uniforms during the game. The special uniforms first appeared on the 20th anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks.
