April 22, 2019 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

The transfer of the body of Christopher A. Slutman from Dover Air Force Base to the Bronx funeral home is set for Monday, April 22, 2019, beginning at 10:00am. Christopher Slutman was a United States Marine and FDNY firefighter killed in action in Afghanistan on April 8, 2019.

The procession will proceed from Dover Air Force Base to the Delaware Memorial Bridge, onto the New Jersey Turnpike, to the George Washington Bridge, into the City of New York. The procession is slated to take at least three hours.

To honor Chris, members of fire, police, EMS, and the public are asked to line the route, rendering honors when the motorcade passes. Most importantly, this includes all overpasses along the route.

For emergency services with apparatus that will participate in Delaware, please contact Caesar Haley at ch1436@aol.com for overpass coordination. For emergency services with apparatus participating in New Jersey, please contact Tim Pearson at chief1300@verizon.net for overpass coordination.
