9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Peter 5-K Honoring Peter J. O’Neill, Jr. – Amityville, NY

The annual Peter 5-K is back! The 5-K run/walk honoring Peter J. O’Neill, Jr. will be held on Saturday, November 27, 2021 from 1:00pm until 5:00pm at 62 Carman Place in Amityville, NY.
Registration starts at 12:00pm. The event will be held rain or shine.
To run or walk costs $25.00 for adults, which includes a t-shirt. For an adult attending the celebration but not running or walking costs $10.00 (no shirt). Children aged 12 and under can run or walk for $10.00. This year, proceeds will go to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

Peter J. O’Neill, Jr. was 21 and working at Sandler O’Neill & Partners in the South Tower of the World Trade Center, but he was studying to be an EMT, because the volunteer firefighter wanted to help people. He was killed in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
