The annual Pentagon observance ceremony will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2021, at 9:00am at the Pentagon Memorial in honor of the 184 people killed in the 2001 terrorist attack on the Pentagon and aboard Flight 77.
Invitations have gone out. Due to COVID-19, only family members and survivors of the Pentagon are invited.
Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Army Gen. Mark A. Milley will lead the ceremony.
Press interested in covering the observance must arrive by 7:00am.
