Patriot Day 5-K – multiple US cities
September 7, 2013
While the term “Patriot Day” is confusing – some people refer to September 11 as Patriot Day, to others, it is April 15 in honor of the Battle of Lexington and Concord, and many US towns use the term “Patriot Day” to refer to their founder’s days – the Patriot Day 5-K runs are held on Saturdays in September in multiple cities throughout the country each year to remember the victims of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
It costs $35.00 to register for a Patriot Day 5-K with a $3.00 online fee. Funds raised support these charities: Voices of September 11th, 9/12 Generation, Wounded Warriors, Jeep’s S.A.F.E. Return, Cancer Schmancer and the Colon Cancer Alliance.
