Will Jimeno, a Port Authority of New York and New Jersey Police Department (PAPD) officer who was trapped in rubble during the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, will speak and donate a piece of steel from the World Trade Center to the Auburn University Veterans Resource Center on Friday, November 13, 2015.

The donation of steel will be made at 10:30am in 217 Foy Hall and Jimeno will speak about his experiences at 1:00pm in Lowder Hall, room 113A.

The steel will be displayed at the center.

Jimeno’s story, along with that of his fellow PAPD officer John McLoughlin, inspired the movie World Trade Center.
