9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Panel discussion & screening of documentary “We Were Quiet Once”, Syracuse, NY

As part of Remembrance Week, a tribute to the 270 people and 35 Syracuse University students murdered in the terrorist bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 on December 21, 1988, there will be a film screening of the documentary film, We Were Quiet Once, a documentary produced by former Remembrance Scholar Laura Beachy. The film tells the story of the effect of the terrorist attack on United Flight 93 on the small town of Shanksville, Pennsylvania, where the plane went down.

Before the screening, a panel will discuss the effects of terrorism on small towns such as Lockerbie, Scotland, and Shanksville.

The screening will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2014 in the Slocum Hall Auditorium. The panel discussion will start at 7:00pm and the film screening will begin at 8:00pm.
