9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Orange County’s September 11th Remembrance Ceremony with FDNY Deputy Chief Jay Jonas – Hamptonburgh, NY

The County of Orange and the Orange County Department of Parks, Recreation and Conservation invite the community to attend their at Orange County’s September 11th Remembrance Ceremony, which will be held at the Orange County Arboretum at Thomas Bull Memorial Park on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at 6:00pm. The keynote speaker this year will be FDNY Deputy Chief Jay Jonas, who survived the collapse of the North Tower inside a staircase.

The ceremony will honor the memory of the 44 Orange County residents who were killed in the 9/11 terrorist attacks and will pay tribute to the brave military personnel who have served our nation since that fateful day.

Families and survivors of the terrorist attack, families of local military personnel, and veterans are invited to participate in the ceremony and to join the procession by assembling at the Arboretum’s Ottaway Education Center at 5:30pm. The procession will begin at 5:55pm, followed by the ceremony.

Light refreshments will be served immediately following the ceremony.

The event is open to the public.
