Michael G. McGinty Family Fun Day – Foxborough, MA
September 8, 2018 @ 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm
The McGinty Family Fun Day will return for its 14th year on Saturday, September 8, 2018 on Foxboro Common. The day begins at noon with the singing of the National Anthem and opening remarks, then the fun begins.
The day honors Michael G. McGinty, a U.S. Naval Academy graduate and nuclear power and utility specialist for Marsh & McLennan who was killed in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. His top priority was always his family and his secondary interest was serving his community, so the McGinty Family Fun Day is an especially appropriate tribute to his memory.
McGinty Family Fun Day, as always, will include traditional BBQ food, music, games, raffles, bouncy houses, face painting, and crafting.
Participants are asked to contribute $5.00 per person to attend. All funds raised on Family Fun Day are given to local scholarships to young adults who have Mike’s sense of community spirit. The McGinty Scholarship Foundation gives two scholarships annually.
