9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Memorial Service, Hempstead, NY

The public is welcome to attend the memorial service on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at 7:30am at Point Lookout Beach in Hempstead.
This year’s service will feature a 35-foot tall “Tribute to our Heroes” replica of the World Trade Center rising above a mural of the New York skyline. Family members of victims, survivors, recovery workers and the public will be invited to write the names of victims or messages on the sculpture.
There will also be a dove release, and the opportunity to toss flowers into the tribute fountain.
