9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Memorial Ceremony – Maspeth, NY

On Saturday, September 8, 2018, at 11:00am, residents of Maspeth and neighbouring communities will honor the friends and colleagues they lost in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 at a ceremony at Maspeth Memorial Park.

With the Manhattan skyline in the background, participants will remember the victims of 9/11 through prayers, music, wreaths, and words of reflection.

Maspeth was devastated by the terror attacks, losing six residents, and 19 Squad 288 and HazMat 1 firefighters. HazMat 1 and Squad 288 were the FDNY firehouses which together suffered the largest losses of any firehouse in the city. Eleven HazMat members and eight firefighters from Squad 288 were killed in the attacks.
