9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Memorial Ceremony, Boston, MA

Boston’s ceremony to mark the 11th anniversary of the terrorist attacks will begin at 7:30am on Tuesday, September 11, 2012, when a wreath will be laid in the Boston Public Garden.
At 8:30am, the flag will be lowered, a moment of silence will be observed, and names will be read on the front steps of the Massachusetts State House.
At 9:30am, at the State House, officials will present the annual Sweeney Award for Civilian Bravery, named for Acton resident Madeline Amy Sweeney, who was a flight attendant on American Airlines Flight 11.
