Marty and Tom Celic 4-Mile Run

August 31, 2013 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

The 37th annual Marty and Tom Celic 4-Mile Run will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at Clove Lakes Park in Staten Island. Children’s races will follow the adult race, starting at 11:00am.

The event is in memory of the two Celic brothers, FF Marty, of Ladder 18, who died fighting a fire in 1976, and his brother Tom, who was killed at Marsh & McLennan during the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.

A BBQ and awards ceremony will  follow the race at the Staten Island Marine Corps League Post.

The fees to run are $25.00 per runner in advance (by mail or online); and $30.00 per runner to register on the race day itself. To register online, please click here. Please note that there are no guarantees of t-shirts for race-day entrants.

You may pick up your race packet in advance on Thursday August 29, 2013 from 6:00pm to 10:00pm at Jody’s on 372 Forest Avenue on Staten Island.

The Celic Run funds an annual track scholarship at Monsignor Farrell High School, where both Marty and Tom ran.
