9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Luminaria Ceremony – Stoystown, PA

On the evening of Friday, September 10, 2021, the Flight 93 National Memorial’s annual Luminaria Ceremony will return with the special addition of the Johnstown Symphony Orchestra. Players from the orchestra’s strings sections will play music of Samuel Barber, Gustav Mahler, and George Walker, while the 40 luminaria candle lanterns, one for each of the heroes killed aboard Flight 93 on September 11, 2001, are lit and taken to the Memorial by family members and guests. The luminaria are then placed by each name.
This ceremony is open to the public.
