Light up Wethersfield, CT with Keane Foundation Luminaria kits for Christmas Eve
November 9, 2022 @ 8:00 am - December 3, 2022 @ 12:00 pm
Join the Richard M. Keane Foundation in a 48-year-old Wethersfield tradition by displaying luminaria, special votive candles in sand-lined bags, along your property this Christmas Eve.
Luminaria are most beautiful when entire neighborhoods display them. It is recommended that you display bags at the end of your yard 6-10 feet apart along the road. Become a captain for your street.
Each luminaria kit costs $2.00, and includes a 16-hour candle, special bag, and instructions. All proceeds raised will benefit the Keane Foundation’s After-School Enrichment Programs and the 9/11 Memorial Sports Center.
Kits are available at Wethersfield Travel in Old Wethersfield now through 12:00pm on Thursday, December 22, 2022 for use on Christmas Eve. To order your kits, please call 860-402-8989, and they will be ready for you to pick up at your convenience.
Light your luminaria at dusk on Christmas Eve, they will shine until Christmas morning!
The Richard M. Keane Foundation was established to create a 9/11 Memorial Sports Center in the Wethersfield community. Richard Keane, a community leader who loved children and sports, was killed in the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001.
