Cognitive Radio for First Responders

John Jay College’s Christian Regenhard Center for Emergency Response Studies (RaCERS) will host a talk by Shemik Sengupta called Cognitive Radio for First Responders: Everything You Wanted to Know but Were Afraid to Ask on Friday, December 7, 2012, at 1:30pm.

Sengupta is a RaCERS-affiliated researcher and a professor at John Jay College. He will discuss his ongoing research in development of hardware and protocols for cognitive radio. He will provide an introduction to the field and discuss challenges to implementing cognitive radio in the field.

About Christian Regenhard — Christian Regenhard served five years in the United States Marine Corps. He graduated from FDNY probationary school in July 2001. He was working with Ladder 131 when he was killed at the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001.
