Keith D. McHeffey (KDM) 3-Mile Run/Walk
March 10, 2018 @ 11:00 am - 2:30 pm
The Keith D. McHeffey (KDM) 3-Mile Run/Walk will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 11:00am. The start/finish line will be outside Sea Bright Borough Hall in either the nearby parking lot or on Ocean Avenue.
The course is flat and runs 1.5 mile straight into Monmouth Beach to a 180-degree turn and a 1.5 mile return to the start/finish line. The new route can be seen here.
Live results for the race will be provided by Split Second Racing.
The fee to participate is $40.00. To register for the race, please click here. All proceeds will benefit the KDM Foundation in order to support youth activities in the towns of Fair Haven, Rumson, and Sea Bright, the places Keith loved most.
Due to the large number of athletes attending the run, it is strongly suggested that runners attend the Friday night packet/shirt pick-up on Friday, March 10, 2018 from 4:00pm until 7:00pm. Pick-up will take place at Road Runner Sports in Shrewsbury, NJ. Those attending will receive a $10.00 coupon, any VIP discounts in effect that day, free gait analysis, and a chance to stock up on race day needs. You’ll also skip the line on Saturday.
Keith McHeffey was a devoted son and brother and the linchpin of a large group of friends. Where he was, people had a good time. Keith was killed at Cantor Fitzgerald atop the World Trade Center’s North Tower in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. He was 31.
