Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. John Jay College’s Center on Terrorism Friday Seminar – “From Why to Where and Back Again: The Ecology of Violent Extremism”

John Jay College’s Center on Terrorism Friday Seminar Series will continue on Friday, December 4, 2020 from 10:00am until noon on Zoom with Dr. Noemie Bouhana of University College London. Her presentation is titled, From Why to Where and Back Again: The Ecology of Violent Extremism.

Dr. Bouhana co-leads the Counter-Terrorism Research Group at University College London. Recently, she directed the PRIME project, an international consortium of six European universities conducting multidisciplinary research in the prevention and mitigation of lone actor radicalisation and attack behaviour. She also directs the project “The Social Ecology of Radicalisation”, funded by the Minerva Initiative. Among her recent publications is this report, authored for the UK Commission for Countering Extremism in July last year.
