9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Jeff Coombs Memorial Road Race, Walk and Family Day – Abington, MA

The 17th annual Jeff Coombs Memorial Road Race, Walk and Family Day will be held at 9:00am on Sunday, September 9, 2018 at Woodsdale School in Abington, MA. You can register online or in person on Saturday, September 8 2018 from 3:00pm–5:00pm at the Woodsdale School, or on run day, from 7:30am–8:30am.
All attendees are invited to enjoy free food and children’s activities, including a children’s race, face-painting, balloon sculptures moonwalks, clowns, and a DJ. Raffles and music will also be part of the day.
Dubbed “one of the best-organized races ever” by many veteran road-racers, the Jeff Coombs Memorial Road Race has about 1,000 participants annually. You can learn more here.
Jeff Coombs, a father of three, tech whiz and avid hiker, was killed by terrorists on 9/11 while travelling for business aboard American Airlines Flight 11, the first plane terrorists flew into the World Trade Center. He would have turned 60 on September 18, 2018.
