9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Honor Lizz Wainio Memorial Fundraiser — Baltimore, MD

The annual Honor Lizz Wainio Memorial Fundraiser will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2021 from 2:00pm until 6:00pm, back at its original location, Baltimore’s Ropewalk Tavern.

Honor Elizabeth “Lizz” Wainio was 27 when she became one of the 40 brave people aboard United Flight 93 who fought back against the hijackers who killed them during the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Lizz majored in communications at Towson University and loved the school. Since 2005, more than $160,000 has been awarded to students through the Honor Elizabeth Wainio ’95 Memorial Communications Scholarship.
