Honor Elizabeth Wainio Fundraiser – Baltimore, MD
October 1, 2016 @ 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm
The annual fundraiser for the Honor Elizabeth Wainio Communications Scholarship at Towson University will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2016 from 2:00pm to 6:00pm at the Ropewalk Seafood Company in Baltimore.
As always, there will be an open bar, a silent auction, and hors d’oeuvres, with stories and remembrances of Lizz.
Honor Elizabeth Wainio, better known to her friends as Lizz, loved her time at Towson and became a district manager for Discovery Channel Stores, a job she loved. She was travelling on business aboard United Flight 93 on September 11, 2001, when terrorists hijacked the flight. She was able to call her family, expressing more concern for them than for her own plight. She was 27.
