Hold the Door for Others 5-K Virtual Run for Others

June 2, 2021 @ 8:00 am - June 9, 2021 @ 5:00 pm

Hold the Door for Others is holding a virtual Run for Others 5-K. Run between Wednesday, June 2, 2021 and Wednesday, June 9, 2021 to honor someone you know who is dealing with loss or adversity, to help Hold the Door for Others, and to honor Ronald Fazio, who saved many of his colleagues at AON on September 11, 2001 by holding a door so that they could escape from the South Tower.

If you know someone who lost someone to COVID-19, is experiencing depression, lost their job, or who could just use some support, you can run for them.

Here’s how it works —

  1. Decide who you are running/walking for and register. Cost: $35
  2. Pick your course and download your virtual Hold the Door 5-K bib. Run anywhere between Wednesday, June 2, 2021 and Wednesday, June 9, 2021.
  3. Hit the road. Do not forget to take pictures along your journey and tag the person for whom you are dedicating this run or share a picture of the person you’re running in memory of. Add #holdthedoor and #runforsomeone for a chance to win cool prizes when you share your post-participation photos on social media.
  4. After completing the race, results should be submitted through your RunSignUp profile.
  5. Help Hold the Door for Others fundraise by creating a personal or team page on RunSignup.

Hold the Door for Others challenges and equips people to grow through any type of loss or adversity and achieve their dreams by providing workshops, virtual growth conversations, and other resources that teach people skills on how to cope with loss and adversity and grow from them.
