Hold the Door Day honoring Ron Fazio

October 25, 2014 @ 10:30 am - 5:00 pm

The 13th annual Hold the Door Day will be held this year on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at the DoubleTree Hotel in Fort Lee, NJ.

Hold the Door Day is a free event inspired by the actions of Ron Fazio during the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. Ron held the door for his colleagues to ensure that they escaped. Ron was killed in the attacks. Hold the Door Day empowers attendees to grow through loss and adversity (whatever the loss – death of a loved one, serious illness, divorce, natural disaster) via workshops and hands-on activities.

When you register for Hold the Door Day, you can choose between the Helper Program or the original Growth Program. These two programs will run at the same time and location, but will be facilitated separately.

The day’s activities will include developing skills to live with loss and adversity and thrive despite them; increasing your resilience and emotional intelligence; bonding with new friends who have also experienced loss and learning ways to take care of yourself during tough times.
