Hold the Door Day, honoring Ronald C. Fazio, Sr.
October 28, 2017
The 14th annual Hold the Door Day will take place on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at the DoubleTree Hotel in Fort Lee, NJ.
Hold the Door Day is a free event for people learning to grow through loss or adversity. Through hands-on activities, expert speakers, and workshops, people coping with loss will learn practical skills to help them prepare for, live with, and grow through loss and adversity.
This year, there will be two concurrent programs: the Growth Program is designed for people who have personally experienced loss, adversity, or crisis; while the Helper Program is designed for people who support their loved ones and friends as they grow.
When you register for Hold the Door Day, we encourage you to bring someone who may benefit from either of our programs, the Helper Program or the original Growth Program. Please note that neither program is meant for professionals, such as social workers or psychologists.
This year’s theme is One Door Leads to Another. For more information, please click here.
Hold the Door Day honors Ronald C. Fazio, Sr., 57, who was killed in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. He literally held the door for others at AON, saving lives while losing his own. His family started Hold the Door to use their experiences to help others dealing with loss.
