September 14, 2013 @ 8:00 am - 6:00 pm
The fourth annual Heroes and Hope Century Bike Ride, a 62.5-mile (a metric century) bike ride over the route taken by United Flight 93, honors the victims of the terrorist attack of September 11, 2001. Heroes and Hope will begin at 8:00am on Saturday, September 14, 2013.
The route traverses the final miles of the flight path of United Flight 93 on September 11, 2001, and makes a stop at the memorial to the 40 brave crew and passengers aboard, who prevented the terrorists from killing anyone on the ground.
Both the start and the finish line are at the Harvest of Hope Farm in Boswell, PA. The ride will be held rain or shine.
The fee to ride is $40.00. This includes a T-shirt (while supplies last), drinks and snacks along the route and a complete picnic meal afterwards at the House of Hope Farm. Non-riders may attend the picnic meal only for $8.00 a person. Children under 12 may join the picnic free of charge.
