9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Heroes’ Day at the Hudson River Maritime Museum & John J. Harvey – Kingston, NY

September 9, 2018 @ 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm

On Sunday, September 9, 2018, from noon until 5:00pm, please join the Hudson River Maritime Museum, the Trolley Museum of New York, the Volunteer Firemen’s Hall and Museum of Kingston, historic fireboat John J. Harveythe U.S. Coast Guard 49′ BUSL (Buoy Utility Stern Loader), in an event highlighting the courage, selflessness, and sacrifice of emergency service personnel. There will be family-friendly activities as well as deck tours of the John J. Harvey and the Coast Guard BUSL.

At the end of the day, there will be a ceremony to honor active, retired, and fallen EMS personnel as well as a remembrance for those killed in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.This ceremony will be accompanied by music performed by the Woodstock Brass Quintet.

  • 12:30pm – 3:00pm – John J. Harvey open for free deck tours
  • 3:00pm – 3:50pm – Boat ride on the John J. Harvey for HRMM Members only. Pre-registration required.  Register
  • 3:45pm – 5:00pm – Musical performance by Woodstock Brass Quintet.
  • 4:30pm – 5:00pm – Ceremony honoring emergency service personnel in front of the John J. Harvey
