9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Guinness World Record attempt — tie bandannas for Welles Remy Crowther

On Monday, July 16, 2018 from 8:00am until noon, an attempt will be made in Central Park to break the Guinness world record for the longest chain of bandannas (red ones, of course!) tied end to end. The current record is 7,652.
The attempt will honor the Man in the Red Bandanna, Welles Remy Crowther, and the 2,972 others killed in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
One hundred people are needed to tie 10,982 bandannas on the day.
The event will be filmed for the TV show Breaking History.
