Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. The 11th annual GIST Cancer Research Fund Walk for a Cure is Sunday, October 14, 2012 at Rockland Lake State Park, Congers, New York. Registration begins at 9:30am & the walk starts at 11:00am.
GIST (gastrointestinal stromal tumor) patients & researchers throughout theU.S. will attend to bring awareness to this little known, deadly cancer.
NBA Hall of Famer Walt Fraiser will be in attendance to cheer on the walkers.
