Captain Robert “Dave” Melton of the Kansas City Police Department was killed in the line of duty on Tuesday, July 19, 2016.
The visitation for Captain Melton is scheduled for Friday, July 22, 2016 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at the Jack Reardon Civic Center.
His funeral will be held at 9:00am on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at Children’s Mercy Park.
Parking will be available at the Kansas Speedway.
Captain Melton will be buried immediately after the service at the Leavenworth National Cemetery in Leavenworth, Kan.
