9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Funeral for Anthony Notaro, former Chair, Community Board 1 – Brooklyn, NY

Anthony Notaro, 69, died of head and neck cancer on December 30, 2020. After the 9/11 terrorist attacks, and again after Hurricane Sandy, he was an important figure in the restoration of Lower Manhattan, working on a variety of projects to make the neighborhood vital again. He served as Chair for the last four years of Community Board 1 and served as President of the NYPD 1st Precinct Community Council, and held other offices.
His funeral Mass will be held at 11:00am on Friday, January 8, 2020 at Queen of All Saints Church in Brooklyn, NY. Because of COVID-19 safety concerns, the service will be available via Zoom livestream.
Memorial donations may be made in Anthony’s honor to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center’s Head and Neck Research Department.
