9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Freedom Walk & Remembrance Ceremony – Winter Haven, FL

There will be a Freedom Walk at 6:00pm on Thursday, September 11, 2014 in Winter Haven’s Central Park. Registration for the walk begins at 5:30pm. The walk will be followed by the annual “Honoring Our Heroes — Remembering the Day” service, which will take place at 6:45pm.
Members of local fire and law enforcement departments, local military personnel from every branch of the service and veterans from World War II through the present will each release a single dove as part of a nationwide dove release.
“Honor,” a sculpture honoring police officers, veterans, firefighters and EMS professionals, which was designed by a local student last year, will be on display.
