9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Free to Breathe 5-K Run/Walk to Fight Lung Cancer

Free to Breathe — a charity that works to double the lung cancer survival rate by 2022 — will hold a Free to Breathe 5-K Run/Walk on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at Cadman Plaza Park’s North Lawn in Brooklyn.

Registration begins at 9:30am. Runners begin at 11:00am. The walk will start at 11:05am. A kiddie walk will be held at 10:55am.

The event is untimed and family-friendly. Wheelchairs and strollers are welcome. The route will begin heading south on the park path on Cadman Plaza West. Participants will make one lap around the park path.  Once on Cadman Plaza East, they will head north to the Brooklyn Bridge footpath stairs, and walk across the Brooklyn Bridge. The route will then reverse and return to Cadman Plaza Park.

The fee to participate is $38.00 for adults, and $18.00 for children 12 and under until October 24, 2016. To register on the day will cost $40.00 for adults and $20.00 for children 12 and under.
