9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. 4th Annual “Giant Steps for 9/11” Walk to Benefit the Heroes of the WTC

Walk to help those sick from their work at the World Trade Center recovery by taking part in a 7-mile or 2.5- mile Giant Steps for 9/11 Walk on Sunday, September 23, 2012. Register beginning at 8:30am in the Fairleigh Dickinson University parking lot, then board the free shuttle and ride to the start location in Fort Lee for the 7-mile walk, which begins at 10:00am.
A shorter 2.5-mile walk will start at approximately 12:00 noon. Again, register in the Fairleigh Dickinson University parking lot, then board the free shuttle bus, which will depart at 11:15am to take 2.5-mile walkers to meet the 7-mile walkers for the last leg of the walk. Water stations, rest areas and first aid will be available along the course.
Registration for the walk is $35.00 per person in advance, $40.00 on the day. Advance registration is recommended and can be completed by calling 877-WALK-911 or online. Walkers may participate as individuals or in teams.
Mount Sinai Medical Center, Hackensack University Medical Centerand the North Shore Long Island Jewish Health System have agreed to offer a dollar-for-dollar match in medical services for each dollar they receive from a Journey for 9/11.
