Fly the Flag on September 11th
September 11, 2013
As the anniversary of 9/11 draws near, AmericanFlags.com is leading a national campaign to encourage every American to fly a US flag on September 11, 2013. And the New York-based company urges you to make sure that your American flag is made in America.
On September 11th, US flags should be flown at half -staff in memory of 2,973 people from 91 countries murdered by terrorists on that day in 2001. A moment of silence is also typically observed beginning at 8:46am (EST), marking the first plane crash.
