9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Fireman Beach Bash fundraiser to build 9/11 Memorial (FL)

To help build and maintain Beach Fire’s 9/11 Memorial at Fire Station #33, there will be a Fireman Beach Bash fundraiser on Saturday, November 9, 2013, from 12:00pm to 6:00pm at the Lani Kai Island Resort in Fort Myers.
There will be a cornhole tournament, raffles, a 50/50, a Segway obstacle course, live music, games and family fun. Six different bands will play 40-minute sets on the beachfront stage. Local firefighters will give a fire safety demonstration with a live burn. There will be T-shirts will be available for purchase. Participants will also have a chance to view a piece of steel salvaged from the wreckage of the World Trade Center.
The Memorial honoring the victims of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 is expected to be built at Fire Station #33 by February 2014. Organizers hope to raise between $25,000 and $30,000 for construction and maintenance of the Memorial.
