January 30, 2018 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

On Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at 6:30pm, the 9/11 Tribute Museum will present a film screening and discussion of the documentary film, An American Quilt – Stitching Together our 9/11 Memories. This 32-minute documentary tells the stories of seven families who lost loved ones in the terrorist attacks of 9/11 and dealt with their grief by creating memorial quilt panels.

The memories shared in the film include those about –

• Lt. Steven Bates – a firefighter who had no immediate family.
• Paul Beatini – an engineer who didn’t work in the towers, but was there for a meeting.
• Vincent Boland, Jr. – who, at 25, had recently moved out of his family’s home, eager to begin a new life in Manhattan.
• Leroy Homer, Jr. – first officer of United Flight 93.
• Peter Anton Klein – a first-generation American who had just married.
• Clive Ian Thompson – who brought his family here from London and survived the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center in 1993.
• Sandra Wright – who had just become a grandmother.

After the screening, the filmmaker, Roz Sohnen, will discuss the film.

This program is free and open to the public.
