Fight rare cancers with Cycle for Survival NYC
March 2, 2013 - March 3, 2013
Cycle for Survival is an indoor cycling event held nationwide to fund rare cancer research at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. This year’s NYC dates are the weekend of March 2-3, 2013.
More than half the people diagnosed with cancer have a rare cancer. According to the National Institutes of Health, a “rare” cancer is one with fewer than 200,000 affected individuals in the United States. Rare cancers are rampant among World Trade Center recovery workers.
Research for rare cancers is underfunded, leaving patients with limited treatment options.
There are three locations to cycle for survival in NYC on Saturday, March 2, 2013 and Sunday, March 3, 2013 —
