9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Fight for Air Climb, New Haven, CT

March 5, 2016 @ 8:00 am - 12:00 pm

Support the American Lung Association, honor those who climbed the stairs and descended the stairs on September 11, 2001 and raise funds to fight lung cancer by climbing 32 flights of stairs in New Haven, CT at 8:00am on Saturday, March 5, 2016.

Lung cancer is the number-1 cancer killer in America, and it is rampant among World Trade Center survivors and recovery workers. 433 people a day die from lung cancer – 159,480 deaths a year.

The Fight for Air Climb is a “vertical marathon”. Participants can choose to race, run, or walk up 32 floors. Racers & runners will climb first, followed by walkers. The last participants will be firefighters climbing in full gear in honor of the FDNY firefighters who responded to the World Trade Center during the terrorist attacks of September 11th.
