9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. FF Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation Tower Climb Honoring FDNY Captain Billy Burke

June 2, 2019 @ 7:00 am - 10:00 am

Honor FDNY Firefighter Stephen Siller, FDNY Captain William F. Burke, and all those killed in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 and who have died of site-related illnesses since at the Tunnel to Towers Foundation annual Stair Climb on Sunday, June 2, 2019.

Climbers will begin two stories below ground level and climb to the 102nd floor of 1 World Trade Center, climbing 2,226 steps. The stairs wind to the right. The Tower Climb is timed.

Please note that due to security restrictions, participants will NOT be allowed to wear bunker or turnout gear, Scott air packs, etc. during the event. Only basic athletic wear (i.e., shorts and t-shirt) is permitted.

Bibs and t-shirts can be picked up in advance (dates and places coming soon) or beginning at 4:00am on event day. Please note that all climbers MUST have a CURRENT, VALID, government-issued photo ID, driver’s license or passport to pick up bibs and participate. All registered climbers MUST have a bib and government-issued photo ID with them in order to participate. Participants will be provided a clear plastic armband in which to display their photo ID for the Tower Climb.
