FF Jimmy Martinez (ret.) needs blood & platelets

April 14, 2016 @ 8:00 am - May 6, 2016 @ 5:00 pm

Jimmy Martinez retired from the FDNY after 26 years of service, many of them with E-157. He has multiple myeloma from his time at the World Trade Center and is currently a patient at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, needing regular blood and platelet transfusions

Donations not used by Jimmy will be released for use by other patients, many of whom are children. In order to benefit Jimmy, all designated donations must be made by appointment in the Blood Donor Room of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center specifying that the donation goes to Jimmy Martinez. All blood types are acceptable.

To schedule an appointment, please contact Joe Licata at 212-639-8177 or licataj@mskcc.org.

Please visit the Memorial Sloane-Kettering website for complete information about donor eligibility and the process for donating blood or platelets.
