Fallen Heroes Charity Flag Football Tournament – Piscataway, NJ
June 9, 2019
The second Fallen Heroes Charity Flag Football Tournament will be held on Saturday June 9, 2019 at the Rutgers University Piscataway campus.
At the inaugural event last year, 30 teams, consisting of police, fire and corrections departments from New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware, competed.
Last year, $6,000 was donated to the Widows & Orphans Funds of each of the division winners — the Wall Township N.J., Police Dept. and Blue Lives Matter, while another $6,000 was given to the Mt. Sinai World Trade Center Health Program.
Teams are needed for this year. The fee is $80.00 per player, with a minimum of eight players on a team. At least half of each team must be active or retired from the department playing; the other half can be civilians. Each team is guaranteed to play at least three games.
Interested teams can contact Mike Fidanza at 347-992-5755 or email him at mike@911ffl.org.
