9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Evening of Wine & Roses to build W. Hempstead 9/11 Memorial

To sponsor the building of the West Hempstead September 11th Memorial, the West Hempstead Community Support Association and the West Hempstead World Trade Center Memorial Fund will present “An Evening of Wine and Roses” on Saturday, March 8, 2014, from 8:00pm until 10:00pm at the West Hempstead Firehouse.
Attendees will be welcomed with champagne and light hors d’oeuvres. A series of wine tastings paired with decadent chocolates and desserts will follow. Non-alcoholic beverages will also be available throughout the evening.
Ticket prices are $15.00 per person or $25.00 per couple. Supporters may also sponsor roses to decorate the event at a cost of $5.00 per rose or $50.00 per dozen roses.
All proceeds will benefit the West Hempstead World Trade Center Memorial Fund. Twelve residents of West Hempstead were killed in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 — Scott D. Bart, Bruce Douglas Boehm, Jason Cefalu, Kevin Nathaniel Colbert, Robert J. DeAngelis, Jr., Jeffrey M. Dingle, BC John Joseph Fanning, Winston Arthur Grant, Ralph M. Licciardi, FF Robert Thomas Linnane, EMT Mark Schwartz, and William V. Steckman.
