End of Libraries Remember Project

September 12, 2013 @ 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm

The Bensenville Library in Bensenville, IL has ended their Libraries Remember Project.

The Bensenville Library used to remain open all day and night on September 11th, hosting memorial ceremonies, talks, films and other events as part of the Libraries Remember project – a project “to share and discuss your ideas about democracy, citizenship, and patriotism through public talks, roundtables, and performances.” Other libraries took part in this wonderful service over the years from 2003 to 2012.

This year, instead, Bensenville Library is having an open house to honor the Library’s volunteers. This year we could find no libraries participating in Libraries Remember. How sad that libraries forget.
