Emergency Responder Health & Safety Conference

March 20, 2020 @ 9:00 am - 3:30 pm

A free Emergency Responder Health & Safety Conference will be held at John Jay College on Friday, March 20, 2020, from 9:00am until 3:30pm.

Worker safety and health has made strides, but threats evolve. Long-term effects of exposures, increasing violence, opioid abuse, and integration of services against threats of mass violence have created new challenges. Join the definitive gathering of municipal health and safety professionals for uniformed emergency responders.

Panels and discussions will feature labor, mental health, technology, occupational safety, and labor representatives gathering to discuss successes, challenges, and solutions.

Confirmed participants include EMS Local 2507, NYPD Sergeants’ Benevolent Association, Uniformed Firefighters Association, Fire Alarm Dispatchers Benevolent Association, CUNY School of Public Health, SUNY Downstate School of Public Health, and John Jay College of Criminal Justice’s Department of Psychology.

Technology panelists will include DHS’ National Urban Security Technology Laboratory, Hexagon Safety and Infrastructure, Nextwave, and others.

The event is free, but registration is required. Register here.
