Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. On Tuesday, February 1, 2022, from 6:30pm until 7:30pm, Purdue University President Mitch Daniels will hold a Presidential Lecture Series discussion with Kenneth R. Feinberg, the special master of the 9/11 Victim Compensation Fund. Mr. Feinberg handled the distribution of financial compensation to survivors and victims’ families after the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
He performed similar services after the Boston Marathon bombings, for the Agent Orange Victim Compensation Program, the Virginia Tech, Sandy Hook Elementary School, and Pulse nightclub shootings, among other events.
He told his story in the 2005 book, What is Life Worth?, which was adapted into the recent film Worth.
