Detectives’ Endowment Association Dinner Dance

October 4, 2012 @ 6:30 pm - 11:00 pm

On Thursday, October 4, 2012, the Detectives’ Endowment Association will hold its gala Annual Dinner Dance at Russo’s on the Bay in Queens. Cocktails will be served beginning at 6:30pm; dinner begins at 8:00pm.

This year’s honorees are:

Det. Kevin Herlihy of the Violent Felony Squad of Queens Warrants, who was shot in broad daylight during a violent confrontation in Harlem on February 14, 2012.

Detectives Michael Keenan and Kenneth Ayala of ESU Truck #6, who were shot during a gun battle in an apartment in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn during the late evening of April 7, 2012.

In both instances, the Detectives were able to overpower their attackers, eliminate the threat, and successfully recover from their serious injuries. Their expertise, skill, calm, and control under fire have earned them a distinguished place in their professional arena, as well as in the hearts of their colleagues.

The DEA is also honoring a longtime member of the New York Police Department, Chief of the Organized Crime Control Bureau, Anthony Izzo, who has served the Department with distinction for 44 years.

To purchase your ticket or a table, please call Paul DiGiacomo or Paul Morrison at the DEA at 212-587-1000 as soon as possible.
