Dan McNeal Family Fun Day
June 24, 2012 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
$25 – $75The 1st annual Dan McNeal Family Fun Day will take place on Sunday, June 24, 2012 from 1:00pm – 4:00pm at the Loyola Blakefield campus in Towson, Maryland.
The event will be a fundraiser for the Dan McNeal Memorial Fund, a permanent endowment established in 2002 by members of Dan’s family, his friends and classmates of Dan from the Class of 1990 at Loyola Blakefield.
A donation of $75.00 for families of 3 or more; $50.00 per couple or $25.00 for a single admission will include games, swimming in the indoor pool, concessions, and fun for all ages.
On September 11, 2001, terrorists took the life of Dan McNeal. He was 29 and working at Sandler O’Neill & Partners in World Trade Center Tower 2. Dan’s Memorial Fund presents an annual scholarship to a student who stands out academically and who has displayed leadership qualities and a history of service.
The scholarship’s endowment has been funded in excess of the original goal – $250,000. Because of this success, the Dan McNeal Memorial Fund is now trying to raise funds for a second scholarship and possibly for building a memorial to Dan on campus.
