9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. D.C. Ray Downey Forever Running Memorial 5-K

The annual Deputy Chief Ray Downey Forever Running Memorial 5-K Run/Walk will be held on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 19, 2016 at Deer Park Knights of Columbus. The 5-K run/walk will begin at 9:30am and the Father/Child Team Competition will begin at 9:30am.
The course follows D.C. Raymond M. Downey Memorial Road. The course is flat and fast; USATF certified and sanctioned. Download the Racejoy app here.
To register online, click here. Online registration requires a fee of $2.50. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged. The registration fee for the 5-K is $22.00 for an adult; $20.00 for children, in advance. Fees on run day are $30.00 per person. There is no race day registration for the Father/Child Team Competition.
Affectionately referred to as “The Master of Disaster,” FDNY Deputy Chief Raymond M. Downey, Commanding Officer of the Special Operations Command (SOC), was killed in the line of duty on Tuesday, September 11, 2001.In tribute to Chief Downey, his family has established the D.C. Raymond Downey Scholarship Charity Fund to keep his memory alive and to benefit the many organizations that Ray cherished.
